Amrita & Ashish

Dubai hosts a large number of destination weddings each year. But not every destination wedding turns out to be as remarkable and memorable as Amrita and Ashish’s wedding. This wedding took place at one of the most popular beach hotels in the UAE, the Fairmont Hotel, Ajman. Since this was a destination wedding, we had guests flying in from different parts of the world. So, the first thing was to ensure the hospitality was on point and that they were warmly welcomed at the wedding.
The main festivities kicked off with a welcome dinner sangeet. We used the gold and rose theme here which went perfectly with the evening and gave the dinner a rich and royal look. The hashtag #takenbytewani was on display in all its glory, signaling the coming together of the bride and groom. We had prepared a customized dance floor, especially for the sangeet and asked one of the family members to be the emcee along with a professional emcee. This was coupled with some groovy beats by DJ Gautam and there, we had a complete fun-filled sangeet package ready.
For the Mehendi ceremony, we used the traditional Rajasthani theme with elements such as umbrellas, mandalas, and tassels for decor. For the seating area of the bride, we had prepared a floral arch having different shades of roses and green. There was also a Mehendi giveaway cart for the ladies to help themselves, along with a perfume/oud corner for gifts.
The wedding was filled with shades of pink, just like the bride wanted it to be. We had also set up a giant hashtag for the guests to click photos with, during the event. As is customary with most desi weddings, the baraat lasted for quite some time with the friends and family members dancing to popular Bollywood tunes. After the baraat, came the time for the entry of our bride, which was done under a phoolon ki chaadar.

The whole wedding in itself was a very intimate affair with 150 people. However, we made sure that each one of the guests was well-attended to and personalized care was given. The guests also seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves and actively participate in the festivities. Like every desi at a wedding, our guests absolutely loved the chaat corner, which was also one of the highlights of the wedding.

At the end of the wedding, it was not only the couple who were going back with each other but also the guests who returned to their abodes with bags full of memories.
